As we grapple with the reality of life in an unpredictable and unprecedented climate, we must swiftly adopt a coordinated and collaborative approach to drive sustainable development and accelerate ambitious climate action for future generations because earth cannot fit in a time capsule.

Climate Action
The Paris Agreement adopted in 2015, aims to strengthen the global response to the threat of climate change by keeping a global temperature rise this century well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. The agreement also aims to strengthen the ability of countries to deal with the impacts of climate change, through appropriate financial flows, a new technology framework and an enhanced capacity building framework. To limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, as embodied in the Paris Agreement, aggressive climate action is needed. Starting in 2020, greenhouse gas emissions must fall by ~7.6% each year.
Climate Transparency
The Paris Agreement establishes an Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) designed to build trust and confidence that all countries are contributing their share to the global effort. The ETF makes it possible to track the progress of individual countries so that it will be possible to compare a country’s actions against its plans and ambitions as described in its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Understanding future greenhouse gas emissions can help countries define their reduction targets, track their progress to existing targets, estimate the impacts of different mitigation measures and help plan mitigation measures for the medium and long-term.
Climate Neutral Certification

Climate Neutral Certification gives consumers and businesses a way to choose a net zero future. When a company gets certified, it invests money and time in avoiding, removing, and reducing carbon emissions. When thousands of companies get certified, they transform energy and industry, launch new technologies, and preserve entire ecosystems. Together, we can accelerate the change we need in the world. Companies must follow the Climate Neutral Certification Standards (CNCS) in order to receive the Climate Neutral Certified label.
Climate Neutral Now Initiative
Take the pledge
The Climate Neutral Now Initiative (CNNI) is one of several initiatives launched by the UNFCCC secretariat to increase climate action by engaging non-Party stakeholders (sub-national governments, companies, organizations, individuals). The CNNI encourages and supports organizations and other interested stakeholders to act now in order to achieve a climate neutral world by 2050 as embodied in the Paris Agreement. An organization can become a participant by signing the Climate Neutral Now Pledge, following the three steps (Measure, Reduce, Contribute) and reporting on its actions and achievements annually. There are several benefits to becoming a participant. Please join the global community of organizations committing to becoming climate neutral by 2050 by taking the pledge as a demonstration of your commitment to climate neutrality now.
